Ecobee Rebrand

The Ecobee rebrand focused on clarity, accessibility, and consistency across touchpoints. The goal was to align the company’s visual language and messaging with the practical role its products play in domestic life—quietly regulating temperature, energy use, and comfort over time.

Rather than emphasizing novelty or technical complexity, the system prioritized familiarity and trust. Visual and verbal elements were designed to integrate seamlessly into the home, supporting long-term use rather than momentary attention.

The identity extended across product interfaces, packaging, advertising, and retail environments, maintaining coherence while allowing flexibility for future expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Creative direction across brand, product, and communication

  • Development of visual identity and system guidelines

  • Oversight of messaging and tone of voice

  • Direction of marketing and retail assets

Outcome

The rebrand provided Ecobee with a durable, scalable system that supported consistency across product, marketing, packaging, and retail environments while remaining flexible enough to evolve over time.

The system enabled clear communication across a wide range of household contexts, supporting long-term use rather than momentary attention.
