Future Party People
Future Party People was the first major brand campaign developed under Steph Hoff’s creative direction at Moose Knuckles. The project was conceived to embody the brand’s irreverent DNA—rooted in satire, exaggeration, and self-awareness—while also meeting corporate objectives around brand awareness, perception, and distribution growth.
The campaign marked a deliberate pivot toward contemporary fashion and pop culture, repositioning Moose Knuckles within a broader cultural conversation. It sought to move the brand forward by acknowledging its past while establishing a new tonal register—one that embraced humor, provocation, and spectacle without relying on shock alone.
To realize this shift, Steph partnered with Kid Studio, a music video production company known at the time for shaping the visual language of contemporary hip hop through work with artists such as Drake, The Weeknd, and Big Sean. Together, the team developed a narrative world inspired by campy post-apocalyptic cinema, Heavy Metal magazine, and 1970s motorcycle culture.
The resulting campaign unfolded as a stylized dystopian fantasy—a cautionary tale set in a climate-altered future shaped by global warming and the melting Arctic. Framed as a high-energy, rock-and-roll joyride, the work presented Moose Knuckles in a context that felt culturally literate, self-possessed, and distinctly unlike the brand’s previous output.
