Founded by the artist Chains, Clearance Archive is both store and study—examining what holds value in an age of excess.

It documents material culture as a relationship between people and their things. As art, cultural capital, and consumerism operate as a single system, collections of altered and found artifacts question what constitutes our shared reality.

It exists within the paradox of our time: both participant in, and response to, systems in collapse—discerning what might carry forward from the present into Archive.
