Deadstock New Year paper napkins, rescued from a liquidation warehouse in Mississauga. Each pack contains 20 three-ply napkins, printed with “Happy New Year” in large Cantonese characters, with “Kung Hei Fat Choy” beneath—an expression wishing happiness and prosperity.
Though originally made for Lunar New Year, the design brings a sense of occasion to any table. They’re beautifully printed, with a satin-matte finish and a weight that feels considered rather than disposable.
Paper napkins are, in truth, unnecessary—cloth will always be the more sustainable choice. But these already exist, and using what remains is its own form of care. For a special dinner or gathering, they offer a moment of ceremony before they disappear from circulation.
