Women’s satin-finish briefs, likely late 1980s–1990s, sourced in new-old-stock condition and fully restored. Hand-washed using a washboard and homemade soap to remove any residual traces of prior handling; loose threads and pilling were carefully removed to return the fabric to near-unused condition.
The briefs are embellished with vintage badge buttons—collected gradually over years of visits to thrift shops, flea markets, and post-consumer resale sources. Each button shows light patina from age, adding character to the surface. Buttons are pinned to both the front and back panels, and can be removed.
This piece reflects the ongoing runway-driven return of underwear worn as outerwear, where briefs are styled as visible garment rather than concealed layer.
