Description

Satin-finish women’s briefs sourced in new-old-stock condition. The garment was hand-washed using a washboard and soap to remove residue from storage and handling. Loose threads and minor surface pilling were addressed to return the fabric to a clean, wearable state.

Vintage badge buttons have been added to the front and back panels using pin fasteners. The buttons were collected over time from thrift shops and flea markets and show light wear consistent with age. They remain fully removable and are not permanently affixed to the garment.

The briefs retain their original cut, sheen, and elasticity. The intervention does not alter the structure of the garment, only its surface presence.

Within Clearance Archive, the piece is positioned as a restored undergarment made visible through simple adornment rather than concealment.
