A pair of early-2000s Dior-inspired bootleg mules from the height of the “bling” era—when glossy vinyl, rhinestones, and logo-driven fantasy defined pop consumption. This bootleg wave circulated through flea markets, Chinatown shops, and mall kiosks, often interpreting luxury trends with more audacity than the originals.
Clear vinyl uppers frame lavender footbeds, finished with rhinestone-set buckle hardware in the shape of a stylized “H”—a near-miss hybrid of Dior and generic luxury iconography common to the period. These puppies were sourced worn, then repaired to preserve them as cultural artifacts: missing rhinestones were replaced with visually identical stones (spares included), and the soles received (professional cobbler) reinforcement at heel and toe for continued wear.
Structurally sound with light signs of previous life; the surface patina is consistent with age and material.
