Complexity Keychain — Edition 01:01

Hand-altered keychain assembled from salvaged materials and a childhood wooden block.

Category: Remade
File Under: Personal Object, Upcycled Accessory

Description

A one-of-one keychain composed of salvaged components, anchored by a green wooden alphabet block sourced from the artist’s childhood home. The “X” block, drilled and fitted with metal hardware, is linked to a chain and a dense cluster of safety pins—collected over years and configured into a compact, interlocked form.

A hand-stamped aluminum tag carries the phrase “Chains, against standardized life and death”—a quiet refusal of mass-produced identifiers in favour of singular, personal detail. The combination of block, chain, and hardware draws a line from early fascinations with structure, logic, and making, through to a mature practice that embraces complexity, chance, and reassembly.

Intended for daily carry. Wear and surface patina will develop through use.
