Earl’s Pearls

$240.00

Necklace assembled from multiple found costume pearl necklaces and bracelets, cleaned and reconfigured.

Category: Remade

File Under: #CostumeJewelry, #DIY, #FoundObjects

Full Description

Earl’s Pearls is assembled from five costume pearl necklaces and two bracelets, sourced individually and recomposed into a single, irregular configuration. The strands vary in bead size and tone, creating areas of density and looseness rather than a uniform drape. The structure is secured using hand-tied heavy polyester sewing thread, allowing the necklace to hold its form while remaining flexible in wear.

A secondary strand made from mixed letter beads and stray pearls spells “ANARCHY PEACE CHAINS.” This strand is attached with a safety pin and can be worn as part of the main configuration or detached and worn loosely, fixed at one end only.

The piece takes its name from Earl, whose approach to style prioritizes resourcefulness, recombination, and presence over polish. The necklace reflects that logic directly: existing materials brought back into circulation through composition rather than concealment.
