Description

This listing comprises a single trial set of laser-engraved metal homeware, produced to test engraving as a surface treatment for found domestic objects.

The set includes one metal tray engraved with a skull jester graphic designed by Chains, and a set of four metal wine vessels engraved with a chain-link fence motif. All pieces bear the artist’s name within the engraved imagery. The tray is the size of a standard pie plate; the wine vessels are matching in form and finish.

The tray shown in the wine vessel photographs was used for documentation purposes. The tray included with the set is the skull jester tray shown separately.

These objects were produced in a very limited quantity as method tests rather than a finalized product line. Minor variation, surface irregularities, and engraving artifacts are inherent to the trial process and are preserved as part of the record.
