Description

Vintage slip skirt in seafoam green sateen floral jacquard with elasticated waistband and knee-length hem. The fabric is lightweight with a soft sheen and subtle woven pattern, originally produced for undergarment or sleepwear use.

The skirt has been altered through additive interventions applied directly to the surface.

Interventions include:

• A hand-painted textile panel featuring a Crass logo, executed with watercolor and fabric medium on natural écru canvas and sewn to the skirt using irregular, freestyle hand stitching.

• Aluminum can tabs collected by the artist and sewn directly into the fabric at multiple points.

• A hand-stamped aluminum “Chains” plate, stitched to the garment.

• A hand silk-screened branded patch applied to the back of the skirt.

• A hand-stenciled “Techno Punk Outlaw 4 Lyfe” graphic applied using repurposed spray paint; paint was re-pressurized and reused from discarded cans.

All applied graphics and painted elements have been heat sealed. The original slip structure remains intact, with elasticity allowing the garment to adapt across sizes while carrying the accumulated surface work.
