Description

Active in late-1970s Los Angeles, The Germs became associated with a simple blue circle painted onto clothing worn by the band and those around it. The mark appeared on denim, jackets, and shirts, applied by hand rather than produced commercially. This pair of vintage Levi’s 505s follows that approach, using a soft, pre-worn base and visible brushwork across the legs. A round metal plaque, cut from the funnel of a broken stovetop espresso maker and stitched to the pocket, references the band’s name and Darby Crash. Two pyramid studs are set into the fabric.
