Description

During The Germs’ brief period of activity, shirts and jackets around the band were often marked with a hand-painted blue circle. The graphic was passed informally, appearing on inexpensive basics customized by the wearer. This vintage cotton T-shirt uses that method, with painted brushwork heat-set into the fabric. A hand-stamped plaque cut from scrap metal is stitched below the collar, and two pyramid studs are added to the surface. The base garment was chosen for its soft, pre-worn feel and boxy 1980’s fit.
